TERMS / CREDITS / AUTHORIZED MATERIAL
A local-first working aid with explicit credit and AI boundaries.
Effective September 3, 2026. By using StoryTeardown, creating an account, or purchasing credits, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your Google-authenticated account and must report suspected unauthorized access to support.
Authorized material only
You may analyze only video you own or have permission to analyze. StoryTeardown does not fetch streaming platforms or grant permission to copy, publish, distribute, or train on third-party works.
Service and delivery
StoryTeardown provides browser-local cut detection, editable working documents, structured exports, and eligible account-based cloud analysis. The Service is digital and intangible. Local output is available in the browser; paid credit access is granted to the verified account after Waffo confirms payment.
One-time credit packs
Starter (US$39.99) grants 4,000 paid credits. Growth (US$299.99) grants 30,000 paid and 4,500 bonus credits. Scale (US$999.99) grants 100,000 paid and 25,000 bonus credits. These are one-time top-ups, not subscriptions. There is no automatic renewal or automatic top-up. Current details are published at /pricing.
Taxes and processor
Waffo Pancake is the Merchant of Record and processes checkout, payment details, applicable tax, invoicing, refunds, fraud review, and chargebacks under its own terms. StoryTeardown does not store complete card details.
Task charging
Before a paid cloud task starts, the Service displays an estimated credit cost and a maximum hold. Starting freezes the confirmed maximum; completion settles supported actual usage and releases the unused balance. A package does not promise a fixed number of videos.
Credit validity
Paid credits expire 12 months after purchase. Package bonus credits expire after 90 days. The separate signup promotion expires after 30 days. No recurring plan exists to cancel; account deletion does not create a new charge or renewal.
Refunds and cancellation
Unused credit packs may be requested for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Once credits are consumed, purchases are generally non-refundable; partially used packs receive manual review and are not guaranteed a full refund. Duplicate charges are refundable. Statutory withdrawal rights remain available where required and may be waived after first use of immediately delivered digital credits. Request a refund from the purchase email and include the transaction ID; eligible refunds are processed through Waffo.
Review every result
Cut detection and AI output are editable estimates that may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Verify timecodes, dialogue, production notes, and factual claims against the authorized source. The Service is not legal, medical, financial, copyright-clearance, or final-edit advice.
Third-party providers and models
Optional cloud analysis uses the AIHubMix gateway with a fixed model order: Gemini 3.8 Flash Free, then Gemini 3.8 Flash, then Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite. The free model may return capacity errors; the gateway switches models only after a complete HTTP 429 capacity rejection or a complete but structurally invalid result, and never retries other HTTP errors or a request whose outcome is unknown. These models produce structured text analysis from authorized video; StoryTeardown does not use Veo to generate replacement video. Availability and output quality can depend on the provider. A successful result receipt records the actual model and each model attempt with token counts only; if any completed attempt omits trustworthy usage, the receipt labels the aggregate as partial.
Acceptable use
Do not bypass access controls, probe another user's projects or transactions, upload unlawful or unauthorized material, scrape outputs at scale, resell access without permission, interfere with payment or delivery systems, or violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or payment-network rules. The detailed rules for sexual/NSFW material, violence/gore, hate, child safety, deepfakes, impersonation, copyright, reporting, moderation, and enforcement are part of these Terms and published at /acceptable-use.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, suspected fraud, security risk, non-payment, or a legal requirement. If access is terminated for reasons other than your breach, eligible unused credits are handled under the refund policy. Records required for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, or law may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Warranty and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or accurate AI output. To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryTeardown is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid during the 12 months before the event giving rise to that claim.
Changes and disputes
Material changes to these terms will be announced before taking effect where required. Before starting a formal billing dispute, contact support so a confirmed error can be investigated. Unenforceable provisions do not invalidate the remaining terms.
