LOCAL TRIAL / TERMS
A working aid, not a rights-clearing or final-edit system.
Effective August 9, 2026. These plain-language terms apply to the current local MVP.
Authorized material only
By starting an analysis, you confirm that you own the video or have permission to analyze it.
Review every result
Cut detection is an automated estimate. It can miss cuts or create false positives. Verify timecodes and production notes against the source before relying on an export.
AI output is an editable draft
Cloud semantic AI is not available in the current public local preview. When production infrastructure is ready, cloud AI will suggest plot, dialogue, characters, craft labels, and pacing. These will be probabilistic inferences, may be incomplete or wrong, and never replace review against the source.
Local-first processing
Choosing a file and building the cut map happen entirely in your browser. No video, proxy, or key frame is sent to any server in the current local preview.
Local result storage
Structured results, your manual edits, and small opening-frame thumbnails are stored in this browser's IndexedDB so completed deliveries survive a refresh or closed tab. The source video is never stored. You can delete each local record from the workspace at any time.
No public library
StoryTeardown does not fetch streaming platforms or grant permission to copy, publish, distribute, or train on third-party works.
